  • Learn How To Make Your Face Skin Healthy
  • Here’s some advice about how to make your face skin healthy. You might have to give up some of your favorite skincare products in order to do what’s best for your skin’s health. Here’s why.

The ingredients commonly found in skincare products can clog the pores, contribute to inflammation, change the skin’s natural pH level and cause a variety of other problems. Some of them even play a role in cancer.

The first step is to take a look at the ingredients in the products you are currently using. You may have to do a little research to find out about the risks of exposure to each of the ingredients, but I’ll list a few of the things you should avoid. Some of the compounds that are bad for your skin’s health include:
    • Petrolatum, mineral oil and paraffin
    • Parabens
    • Oxybenzone and benzophenone
    • Fragrance ingredients

You will probably see the word “fragrance” written on the label, because manufacturers are not required to list the chemicals used to create the fragrance. Fragrances are not a part of how to make your face skin healthy.

Using a dab of perfume or essential oils makes you smell nice. Your skincare products should not have added fragrances. Why do manufacturers use them? Often it is to cover up the unpleasant smell of the chemicals additives included in the product.

Oxybenzone and benzophenone are sunscreen ingredients. Research has shown they produce free radicals when exposed to sunlight. Free radicals can damage cellular DNA, causing the formation of a cancer cell.

Parabens are artificial preservatives that have been in the news in recent years, because they were found in breast cancer tumors. This means they can penetrate through the skin. Artificial preservatives are not a part of how to make your face skin healthy, but natural ones can help.

Natural vitamin E is an effective preservative and it is an antioxidant, which means it helps protect you from sun damage and wrinkles. Oxidation or free radical damage increases with age. Dermatologists say that free radical damage is the main cause of all visible signs of aging. It damages cells and collagen fibers, causes sagging and dark circles under the eyes.

The first ingredients on the list are often found in moisturizers, although they are not actually moisturizing. The use of a good moisturizer is a big part of how to make your face skin healthy, but you’ll need to do a little searching to find one that is really good.
